Rankings These are the ranks for the dojo. Prospects (no belt) are still deciding whether to start down Honyakudō, the way of translation. This will help you decide. Novices (white belt) are learning Japanese as formal education. Apprentices (brown belt) are practicing translation and are working to get into the industry. Journeymen (black belt) are working as professional translators in the industry. Even Sensei doesn't know what makes a master, so the dojo doesn't teach that. So be prepared to give your translation skills a workout! |
